Application Areas Of Anti-static Tape

Aug 20, 2026 Leave a message

Anti-static tape is used in electronics manufacturing processes-such as surface-mount technology (SMT), wave soldering, and reflow soldering-to mask or protect components and critical areas on printed circuit boards (PCBs).

It is used to mark floors and walls within Electrostatic Protected Areas (EPAs), serving as a warning or indicator through the application of tape bearing ESD symbols.
Anti-static tape is used to seal ESD shielding bags and other ESD-safe packaging containers, as well as to bundle tubes containing integrated circuits in Dual In-line Packages (DIP). During transport or storage, it covers external plugs, openings, or connector pins on electronic chassis and equipment to prevent both electrostatic and physical damage. Additionally, in office environments or at ESD workstations, it is suitable for affixing notes, work orders, or instructions, or for temporarily securing and covering materials during manufacturing.

Specialized applications include electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding, as well as equipment storage and labeling within cleanrooms.
