They can be categorized into two types based on their intended use:
Anti-static tapes and warning tapes.
1. Anti-static tapes come in two varieties-grid tape and transparent tape; they possess inherent anti-static properties and are suitable for packaging electronic products.
2. Anti-static warning tapes do not possess inherent anti-static properties themselves but feature printed anti-static symbols; they serve as a warning indicator for ESD-sensitive products or within anti-static zones.
Anti-static tapes can also be classified based on criteria such as material, conductivity, and functional characteristics. (Classified by material and substrate, they primarily include polyester, cellulose, and polyimide (PI). Classified by conductivity, they are divided into conductive tapes (surface resistance typically 10⁴–10⁶ ohms) and dissipative tapes (surface resistance typically 10⁹–10¹¹ ohms). Classified by function and characteristics, they include high-temperature tapes (heat resistance up to 150°C or 300°C), shielding tapes (offering both anti-static and electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding capabilities), warning tapes (printed with ESD warning symbols), and masking tapes (for temporary protection during spraying or welding). Classified by specific application scenarios, they include packaging tapes, floor marking tapes, etc.)
